Kenneth Norton Robinson

Ken “OPA” Robinson- aka  “Santa” was a Loving husband, Father, Grandfather, & Great Grandfather. After  a lengthy illness he passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his loving wife Linda of 34 years by his side. While recent travel restrictions limited  family members visits prior to him slipping away, they spoke frequently on the phone and as early as last week all conferenced on a video call via Zoom.  This gave family members an opportunity to express their love and anticipation of the next video call with him and Linda. Santa, as he was known by generations of children would glow with excitement as they ran up to see the “Real Santa” every year. He was overjoyed as children came from infancy through there teens and then as adults they brought their children to see the “Real Santa.” Kenny was a wonderful Loving husband who supported Linda in all endeavors, he never spoke a harsh word towards her, and wanted to make sure that she knew that he loved her: “To The Moon & Back”. Ken was known for his wit and knowledge of all things just like a walking encyclopedia. You could bring any subject up to him and he was able to go into extensive detail and detail  and detail………  Ken also always knew how to make us smile even if we were confused. He had a caring and loving heart for anyone he met. He loved to help others and always looked out for their best interest.  Ken especially loved to talk to anybody and everybody and would for hours on end. He would even go so far as to introduce himself at the market, sometimes to their dismay. (That’s Opa)! His love of animals was also no surprise as he and Linda had many dogs and cats. Some characteristic words to describe “Ken” would be: Generous, Funny, Special, Stubborn, Loving, Silly, Dramatic, and Kind, all rolled up into the special man that he was.  Ken is proceeded in death by his parents Miriam and Harvey Robinson, his brother Cliff Robinson, his daughter Amy Robinson, and his son Vince Vondera. Surviving family include his wife Linda Huntley Robinson, his sisters Elaine (Mark) Anderson, Nancy Robinson, and his brother John Robinson, four children-David Robinson (Rainy), Dustin McMillin (Kari), Laurel Reed, and Tina Tran-Calvert(Michael), grandchildren: Katie McBratney (Connor), Brittany Sillman (Brady), Brandon Vondera (Stephanie), Rocky Reed (Marty), Alyssa Mattern (Nick), Caitlyn Mcmillin, Mercedes Robinson-Hallaburton, Royce Robinson, Anthony Calvert, Corrina Tran, Nickolas Tran, Christopher Tran, and five great grandchildren- Legend, Declan, Cian, Arianna and baby girl Reed.
