Kenneth 'Ken' J. Jessen

Kenneth John Jessen Ken, 84, of Prescott Valley, AZ passed away at 1:34 pm April 9, 2011 at the Bob Stump VA Medical Center. Ken was born November 14, 1926 in Granville, IL to George & Elida Jessen.
He married Celia Jessen October 1, 2003 in Prescott Valley, AZ. Ken is survived by his wife Celia, also surviving are one daughter, Jackie Taylor (Ev) of Tempe and two sons, Jace Jessen (Pendar)of Aliso Viejo, CA and Jim Hatton of Pagosa Springs, CO; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by, his parents, his first wife, Lois, two sisters, Charlotte and Ebba.
Ken served in the 38th Cavalry Recon Squadron in the U. S. Army until October 31, 1946.Ken taught High School in Brimfield, Illinois for 32 years. After retiring he substituted in both Illinois and Arizona schools until 2009. He was a member of the Fountain of Life Community Church in Prescott Valley. Ken was also a member in the American Legion post 237 in Illinois; and exalted ruler in the Elks Lodge also in Illinois. He was a member of the Masons Horeb Lodge # 363.
