Kenneth (Ken) Niebuhr was taken home to Our Lord and Savior on the early morning of April 27th, after a short battle with brain cancer. He was 81 years old.
He was born in Lacrosse, WI to parents Richard and Evelyn Niebuhr. On April 29, 1989, Ken married the love of his life Jennifer. Ken was the proudest of his wife for her loyalty, kindness, and ability to transform him into a snappy dresser.
Ken and Jennifer moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1997 from Grand Lake, CO where they had previously lived in Minneapolis, MN. Ken enjoyed the wheeling and dealing of commercial Real Estate. Buying, selling, trading and most of all negotiating property.
Committed to a life of servitude, Ken served in the US Navy where he was appointed to be the ships barber. He also attained the high honor of being a Scottish Rite Mason for over fifty years, and a faithful and dedicated Noble of the Mystic Shrine for over fifty years at the Grand Lodge of MN. He was also a member of the American Legion, Fraternal order of the Eagles and an active member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Jennifer, son John Niebuhr of Minneapolis, MN, brother David (Deanna) Niebuhr of Rochester, MN., and his side-kick Marcelino. "Uncle Ken" was blessed with beautiful nieces and nephews.
Known for his kindness and compassion, Ken will be missed by many. Special thank you to the VA hospital in Prescott, AZ for the outstanding care they provided during Kens illness.
