Kathryn Luella Marsh

Heaven is rejoicing as it welcomes Kathryn Luella Marsh home. Wife of Don J. Marsh, daughter of Walter and Luella Hand. Born July 9, 1925 in Schenectady, New York. Moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1970. Phoenix Valley resident until moving to Prescott in 2013. Mother of Donald (Connie), David (Frank), Kathleen (Richard), Deborah (Lynn), Cynthia (Ronald), and Timothy (Beth). Grandmother of Angela, Christina, Traci, Jason, Kimberly, Christopher, Heather, Paula, Cameron, Nicholas, Andrew, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Jessica and Matthew. Great-grandmother of Micah, Josie, Kevin, Christian, Gina, Rachel, Justin, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Rebekah, Matthew, Hayden and Shayna. Great-great Grandmother of Danny. Kathryn was a great Mom, patient and understanding, a mentor and teacher of morals and life skills. She definitely knew how to guide and discipline us when we got out of line. She loved to play the piano, and was an excellent accompanist. Born a Presbyterian, she became Baptist when she married Don, a Baptist minister, in 1950. Her faith in God and relationship to Christ never waivered, no matter how tough life occurred. She was always just a phone call away when we needed comfort or advice. When Dad died in 1976, she went to work for the State of Arizona and retired from there. She was truly beloved by her co-workers and everyone she met. Mom was taken home on February 28, 2014, at the age of 88. There will be no funeral at Mom’s request, but there will be a family ceremony soon in Phoenix and a dear Priest friend of David’s has said a Mass for Mom at his parish in Mumbai, India. Remembering Mom will never be difficult, as she will on live in each of us forever.
