Kathleen R. Bissen

Kathleen Bissen was born in Earling, Iowa to Stanley and Lena Schimerowski. After high school she earned a teaching certificate and taught in a one room school for 2 ½ years until she married Urban Bissen on February 10, 1944. They farmed in Defiance, Iowa until 1969 and then moved to Arizona. Kathleen is the mother of eight children; Sheryl Flemming of Woodlands Park, CO, Mary Bissen of Milwaukee, WI, Keith Bissen of Chandler, AZ, Wayne Bissen of Tyler, TX, Mark Bissen (deceased in 2009), John Bissen of Tempe, AZ, Janelle Robinson of Prescott Valley, AZ, Bruce Bissen of Cottonwood, AZ, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, and her brother Larry Schimerowski. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Urban, son Mark, grandson Kyle, and four of her five siblings, Helen, Sister Janice, Jean and Jim. Kathleen was a gift to all who knew her because of her love and generosity.
