Joyce Laura Kuchar-Pratt

Joyce Laura Kuchar Pratt, 92, died Sunday September 9, 2018 peacefully in her sleep, at her home in Prescott, AZ with her husband Robert at her side from complications of a stroke. She was born February 2, 1926 in Montvale, NJ to Miles and Anna (Blovsky) Kuchar. She was educated in Montvale Elementary School and graduated from Park Ridge NJ High School in 1943. She graduated with a major in Music from New Jersey College for Women (now Douglass College of Rutgers University) in 1947. After her marriage to Robert in 1949 she lived in Park Ridge, NJ, Takoma Park, MD, River Vale, NJ, Hillsdale, NJ before moving to Prescott, AZ in 1986. She was an active member of First Congregational Church in Park Ridge and in a number of community groups in River Vale, NJ. She was a principal in several real estate ventures while living in New Jersey. 

Her greatest interest was her family of four children. She is survived by her husband, Robert and her brother, Miles Kuchar of Montvale, NJ, her daughter Nancy (Norman) Finfer of Rockville Centre, NY, her son Bruce (Karen) of Richmond, KY, her son David (Terry) of Erwinna, PA, daughter Laura (Joe) Von Holle of Beavercreek, OH and grandchildren: Quincy, Bethany (Daniel), Joy, Joanna, Kaylyn, Nolan, and Robbie. 

She selected Prescott, AZ as her place for retirement and she and her husband had a home designed for retirement living. She was active in the Prescott United Methodist Church for several years until her health began to deteriorate.
