Joyce H. Fancher

Joyce H. Fancher passed away February 13, 2013 at The Margaret T. Morris Center. First and foremost the family would like to thank the staff for the exceptional care they have given to Joyce for the past three years. We could not have done this without you! Joyce was born on 10/05/1928 in Erick OK. At age 15 she was enrolled at West Texas State Teachers College and started her first teaching job at age 19. She received her Doctorate in Psychology. She worked for Anaheim Union High School District in California for over 40 years. She began her career as a teacher, and then became a counselor. Her final position was the school psychologist for special youth services. She retired in 1995 and moved to Prescott Arizona with her beloved husband, Don. Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, following her beloved Arizona professional sports teams and canning. She won numerous awards for her canned goods at the County Fair. Joyce was a devoted wife and partner to the love of her life Donald Fancher who preceded her in death along with granddaughter Erica. She is survived by her children Denise Bailie (Rob), Janan Fancher and Neil Fancher (Tammy), grandchildren Christina, Sean, Nicholas, Amber and Blaine, great-grandchildren Kylie and Adrianna.
