Joyce DeBolt Nolan, born March 24, 1941, made her journey to heaven on November 10, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born in Penn Yan, New York and graduated from DeSales High School in 1958. She worked for the New York Phone Company (Verizon) until she retired in 1994. After retiring she began a job that she felt she was born to do: the 911 Data Coordinator for Seneca County, NY, from which she retired in 2012. She lived in Waterloo, NY, until 2012, when she fulfilled her “bucket list” wish and moved to Arizona to be with her children. Joyce loved the Lord, lived for her family, was a generous friend, and a stranger to none. She especially enjoyed the Yankees, all sports, and casino trips (“sisters’ days”). Joyce is dearly missed by her family who describes her as a rock. She is grace; she gave her all for her family, and she meant everything to them. Joyce is survived by her children Jeff (Oggie) Nolan, Kathy (Richard) Melendez, Deb Nolan, and Tracey (Dwight) Peters. She also is survived by her sister Janice (Ed) McGuigan, her brother Gary (Gwen) DeBolt, her brother Ralph DeBolt, and her life sister Janet DeBolt, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life, as well as her grand-dog, Jeter, who was constantly by her side. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents¸ Kenneth Francis DeBolt and Mary Ellen DeBolt (Tobin), her brother, Carl “Butch” DeBolt, and her husband of 53 years, John F. Nolan.
