John W. Werdermann took the express elevator to heaven to meet his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2008 at Hospice Family Care in Prescott. John was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 10, 1926. He is survived by his wife of seven years Rita M. Kidwell, Step son- Carl C. Brittain, Brother- Robert & wife Doris Werdermann of Knoxville Tennesse, Nephew- Mark & wife Oi of Gilbert, Arizona. John was a Navy Veteran having enlisted in the Navy in New Jersey in 1942. He served as a machinist mate on a minesweeper until his discharge in 1950. He was a member of thr American Legion, and The National Rifle Association. He moved from New Jersey to Phoenix in 1963 where he worked for HoneyWell for 19 years and retired in 1986. He moved from Phoenix to Prescott Valley in 1990. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In liue of flowers, the family has requested donations be given in John's name to St. Vincent De Paul Society and St. Germaine's Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at St. Germaine's Catholic Church on Tuesday April 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. on Dana Dr. in Prescott Valley.
