John W. Christman

Beloved husband and father, John W. Chirstman, Passed away on July 4, 2020 peacefully with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Flint, MI on May 13, 1935 to Charlotte and William Christman. 

John is survived by his wife Jan, and his children Brad, Dena, Jonathan, and Jeremy. He is preceded in death by his daughter Jennie who passed away on November 19, 2019. 

John didn’t believe in telling others no. He would go out of his way to help anyone in need and he always had a bit of good advice for anyone who was in need. He would talk to a perfect stranger about any topic and do so like they had been friends for years. He was very proud of his military service in the United States Army. John chose Engineering as a profession and spent many years as a Project Engineer for Binks Inc. in Michigan.

John and Jan moved to Prescott Valley for retirement although John did not ever really retire. He started working for Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Homes doing all sorts of jobs and put his great knowledge of home improvement to use by becoming one of the best handymen the tri city has ever known. John would help anyone find the right products for the job and even assist with installation to ensure the job was done correctly. 

John was a beloved member of his community and a valued friend and co-worker. He will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
