John Todd Calhoon

John “Todd” Calhoon, died September 18, 2012 at his home in Prescott, Arizona. He was born August 16, 1952 in Coral Gables, Florida; the son of Glen L. and Barbara (Augsburger) Calhoon. Todd was 60 years old. Todd moved with his family to Prescott in 1964. His father opened the Attic Hogan in 1970 on Miller Valley Road. Todd graduated from Prescott High School and Yavapai College. He then joined his father in the family business, which recently closed its doors after 42 years due to his illness. Todd always said it was a joy to go to work because of the relationships with his customers and the Native craftsmen. He was known for his knowledge, honesty and fair dealing. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church active in the 5:15 choir and the Men’s Spirituality Group. He was a former member of the Prescott Kiwanis, Evening Lions, and Boy Scout Troop 13. He enjoyed hiking, singing and hunting. He loved Arizona and visiting the beautiful Southwest Reservations and later in life going to La Posada in Winslow. Todd is survived by Pam, his loving wife of 31 years, sons Brett and Devin, and his mother Barbara, as well as a large extended family.
