John Edward Davis

John Edward Davis passed away on April 26, 2018 in Prescott, Arizona. He was born to Lloyd and Olive Davis in Wilcox, Arizona.   

   John served his county in the United States Air Force. He was most proud of his family, horse training skills, his horses, and roping. John competed in many rodeos, roping from the 1040’s to 1990’s.   During that time he won numerous competitions including the Prescott Frontier Days winning 1st place in the VIEJOS team roping in 1991 and 1992 and 2nd place in 1993. John was a very generous man and helped many young people learn to rope. He was a life member of the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association). John also enjoyed calf roping, team roping and just being around his horses.

   He was very proud of his 64 year marriage to his loving wife, Shirley and his sons Mike and Cliff.
