Jack excelled in many sports including cross country skiing, ski jumping and his favorite sport, golf. He served in the Navy as a Gunner's Mate until his appointment to Annapolis in 1952. After his discharge, he attended UNH and graduated with a B.S. in Geology in 1956. After moving to Los Angeles, Jack married Bonnie Mae Duffield in 1964. They were married for 20 years and had three children. During their marriage, they relocated to Seattle, WA, where Jack shared his love for skiing, fishing and golf with his children.After retirement in 1994, Jack moved to Arizona where he enjoyed his favorite sport of golf, traveling and quiet reading. Highlights from his travels with his friend Suzie Mosteller, included South Africa, Ireland, France, and his favorite, golf at St Andrew's, the birth place of Golf. He will be missed by his Mother Ruth, his sisters, Sheila Fahringer and Jan Conway, his daughter Cindi-lea Wartman (45), his sons Kevin Connors (39) and Keith Connors (37), along with his grandchildren, Rachel (16), Sean (13), Kainoa (5) and Keoni (1). In order to respect Jack's wishes, the family will not be having formal funeral arrangements, but will be remembering him with a private ceremony.
