On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, John Edward Busch passed away at age 85 in Prescott, AZ Born in Walhalla, South Carolina, to John Herman and Berline Busch, John grew up with the nickname “Snook,” based on his father calling him his “snookum” as a baby. John joined the Navy in 1951 and served his country during the Korean War aboard the USS Owen. After settling in Southern California, John married Barbara Buelow, with whom he shared 48 happy years of marriage and raised two sons, John Jr. of Anaheim, CA. and David of Buffalo, NY. John was a leader in the plastics industry and truly loved his work. He traveled extensively and enjoyed a close camaraderie with friends and colleagues. John and Barbara relocated to Prescott, AZ in 1991, where they quickly established many close friends. John continued to work until the very end, driving to Phoenix every week to work at Flex Foam, a job that he loved. After Barbara’s passing, John became active in the Prescott Noon Lions Club. John is survived by his brother Bobby and his sister, Carolyn. John will always be remembered as a friendly, fun-loving person, good friend, and loving grandfather to his four grandchildren, Meredith, Johnny, Austin and Jenson. If you met John, you liked him. If you knew John, you loved him. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Northern Arizona V.A. Chapel, 500 N. Highway 89, Prescott , AZ 86313. Committal services will be held in South Carolina.
