Joan M. Hickman

Joan M. Hickman, age 77, died March 29, 2010 at her residence in Prescott, Arizona. She was born in Sacramento, California; the daughter of Harry E, and Anna Marie (Johnson) Benson.        Joan graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BA in polictical science and from St. Mary?s College in Moraga, California with an MBA.   Joan was a member of American Evangelical Lutheran Church; were she sang in the choir. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and an active member of  Prescott Art Docents. Joan enjoyed music; singing, teaching and tutoring. She and Albert spent many a happy time traveling world wide. She was proudest of her church membership and the involvement with the Prescott Art Docents.   Joan is survived by her husband, Albert. They were married December 27, 1953 and enjoyed all their 56 years together.    Private services will be at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Joan?s life will be at the American Evangelical Lutheran Church later this spring.
