Jimmie Dale “Jim” Cline was born in Crane, Missouri June 19, 1935, and went home to the Lord February 12, 2018.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Mary Cline, son Jay (Barb) Cline and daughters Joni Harris, Sherry (Russ) Hoover, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Noel and Marguerite Cline, and his stepson Jay Adams.
Jim spent much of his life in Southern California, working in aerospace design and graphics, furniture retail, a college instructor in mechanical drawing, and interior home design.
After retiring, Jim and Mary moved to Prescott Arizona in 1993, where he pursued a successful career as an artist; his studio was named Thumb Butte Art Studio. Jim worked in many styles with varied subjects, and was proficient in all art mediums, but sculpting and watercolor were his favorites. Jim’s art was shown at several galleries in Prescott and Wickenburg, and he was an active member of the Southwestern Artist Association for many years.
Jim was known for his sense of humor, willingness to always help others, and his love for rescuing animals. He enjoyed photography, bowling and golf.
The family wishes to thank the teams at Synergy Homecare and Maggie’s Hospice for the great care they provided the last few weeks of Jim’s life.
