Jeen Ruth Blundell Lieppman passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Jeen was born in Salt Lake City, UT, March 20, 1917 to Henry James and Eliza Ellen Terry Blundell. She graduated from West High School with a music scholarship. Jeen toured with a singing group before moving to Seattle, where she became an award-winning hair stylist. It was there she met and married Joseph Meyer Lieppman. They lived in Portland, OR and then Kansas City, MO for the next 57 years. Jeen was an accomplished artist, gardener, and golfer -- she held several MO. State titles. She loved reading and learning (graduating this spring from the LDS Institute of Religion), needlework, singing & playing piano, birdwatching, her beloved dog of 19 years, Daisy -- but most of all, she loved people. Her greatest gifts were her unconditional love, her charity, and the great example and legacy she leaves behind to the many friends and relatives who love her so. Jeen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Marell, Terry and Harry Blundell; sisters Maxine Wilson, Helene Martin and Barbara Smith; and great grandson John Shafer. She is survived by her daughter Jan (Douglas) Braithwaite of Alpine, UT and Keith (Corrine) Lieppman of Prescott; brother Larry Blundell; grandchildren Ashley Shafer, Drew, Travis, & Evan Braithwaite, Burke & Lauren Lieppman; great grandchildren Luke, Katelyn & Rebekah Shafer. Funeral will be held Friday, August 8, 11:00 am, at the LDS Stake Center, 1101 Sandretto Dr., Prescott, AZ, with visitation at 10:00 prior to services. Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetary.
