Janet Klabe

Our wonderful mother Janet passed away quietly in her sleep on January 21, 2015 after a long battle with Dementia. Janet was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 24, 1933. She married Don Klabe Sr. on June 14, 1950. She is survived by her daughter Janine Klabe, sons Eric Klabe (Michelle Peairs) and Donald Klabe Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband Don of 62 years, parents Frieda and Horace Simmons, and her daughter Donna Pendley. Janet moved to Prescott in 1973 and worked as a teacher’s aide at Lincoln Elementary for over 30 years. Several generations of children she tutored would routinely come up to her to say hello while she was out and about in town. Her love of working with children kept her young at heart. She loved to laugh, read, and listen to classical music. She was a devoted wife and mother always putting her family’s needs before hers and will be missed dearly.
