Jacqueline Mansell

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacqueline L. Mansell, lovingly known as Jackie, on January 4, 2025. Jackie was born on November 7, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Phyllis and William G. Sager. In 1961, Jackie’s family moved to Monrovia, California, where she began her junior year at Monrovia High School, graduating in 1962.

In Monrovia, Jackie met her future husband, James W. Mansell, when her family moved in next door. The couple married on September 6, 1963, and together they built a life full of love and adventure.

Jackie had a long and successful career in the dental field. She spent over 20 years working with Dr. Douglas Logan’s orthodontic practice, assisting in its merger with Dr. Okamoto’s office. After relocating to Prescott, Arizona, in 1989, Jackie continued her career as office manager at Dr. Taylor Hicks Orthodontics. She also played an instrumental role in the orthodontic community by speaking at Arizona Orthodontic Conventions and founding the Arizona Treatment Coordinators and Office Managers Club (AZTC). Jackie was a well-known figure in her professional community.

Alongside her work, Jackie was dedicated to her family, raising two children, Kimberly A. Savoini and James M. Mansell. Whether it was attending countless sports games, making banners, or creating beautiful costumes for recitals, Jackie was always involved and supportive.

Jackie’s love for her community was evident in her active participation with the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Club, where she served as Chairman for the Queens/Grand Entry for several years. Her creativity also extended to crafting, and she loved making everything from prom dresses to gingerbread houses. Jackie enjoyed entertaining, hosting gatherings, and spending time with friends and family.

A sports enthusiast, Jackie had a particular fondness for March Madness and would fill out her bracket every year. She loved watching all kinds of sports, but it was her contagious joy and positive energy that made her stand out. Jackie was a devout Christian who loved Jesus deeply, and her faith guided her in every aspect of her life. She was known to be a beacon of happiness, always shining bright in every situation and spreading love to those around her.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Mansell; her sister, Vicki Jo Richer; and her father, William G. Sager. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis A. Sager; her brothers, George W. Sager (wife Shannon) and Phillip A. Sager; her daughter, Kimberly A. Savoini (husband Dr. Joe Savoini); her son, James M. Mansell; and her cherished grandchildren, Kenzie Mansell, Ryder Mansell, Josie Savoini, and Jamie Savoini.

A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 1st, at 11:00 am at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, with a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prescott Meals on Wheels.

Jackie will be missed greatly and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy of kindness, joy, laughter and love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

May she rest with her husband in eternal peace.
