Horacio Grijalva Alvarez passed away on April 12, 2008 at VA Hospice in Prescott, Arizona after a long battle with cancer.  He was 75 years old. Horacio was born September 24, 1932 in Ajo, Arizona to Angel & Maria Alvarez. He later married Teresa Orabuena on August 11, 1955 and shared 52 years of special memories.  He was an Arizona Native who moved to Yavapai County in 2000. Horacio served in the Armed Forces Army Division and received a Gold Star for saving a fellow soilders life, he was very proud to have served his Country. He worked as a miner his whole life and was not afraid of hard work. Horacio had an old car that he painted with green house paint and a brush which entitled him the name of parrot man. He was a proud member of St. Germaine's Catholic Church and was famous for his jerky.  He most enjoyed sports, whether it was watching or playing. Horacio was proudest of his family and the bond that they all shared. He will be greatly missed. Horacio Grijalva Alvarez was survived by loving Wife- Teresa Alvarez, Four Sons- Horacio, Ernesto, Luis Angel and Wife's- Christine, Paula, Heather, and Lisa. Brothers- Ramon & Lonnie Alvarez, Sisters- Teresa Alvarez, Angie Alegria & husband George, Carmen Michael's & husband Mike, Mina Vega & husband Francisco, Lydia Harrigan, and Lola Alvarez, Matilda Lerma & husband Rueban. Grandchildren- Sarah, Elias, Alysa, Anthony, Julian, Michael, Miranda and Mia.
