Henry ?Pete? Higgins, died June 21, 2007 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. He was born April 5 1939 in Prescott, Arizona the son of Thomas Henry and Grace Alice (Moseley) Higgins. Pete was 68 years old. Pete moved with his family to California in 1950. He started his own marketing agencies in Sacramento and later in San Diego. He was a very creative person, who was very proud that he was part of product development for Coppertone through his ad agency in the 1970s. Pete was active in sports car rallying, and raced and navigated his own yachts, while living in California. He loved retiring to Prescott, his hometown; where he became very active in the Arizona Rough Riders and was a member of Prescott United Methodist Church. Pete could often be found at the base of the ?Buckey? statue telling people the history of Prescott and the Rough Riders. Pete was very proud of his Indian heritage and spirit., being part Delaware and Cherokee. He had a strong personality with a wonderful sense of humor usually at his own expense. He enjoyed hiking, and just plain socializing with the people he met along the way. Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine ?Kate?; sister, Gabrielle David; 3 nieces; 2 grand nephews and 5 grand nieces. The family suggests memorials in Pete?s name to Arizona Rough Riders P.O. box 11313, Prescott, AZ. 86304
