Helen Moser

Helen Moser, devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on March 20, 2010.  Helen was born on June 8, 1925 in Argo, Illinois to Martin and Catherine Szkolka.  Excelling in her schooling, she met the love of her life, Leonard Otto Moser, and married in 1948.  One year later she began her journey as a mother with the birth of her first son, Len, with sons Barry and Greg following soon after.  Taking on management of her home and the Catholic schooling of her sons, Helen quickly mastered the art of home life, caring with detail for her husband and children.  Her love of art and good eye for design inspired her entrepreneurial effort to fund college tuitions by designing, sewing and installing exquisite window treatments for many beautiful homes in the Chicago area.  Helen and Len embraced the empty nest years, exploring the country as they maintained residence in Illinois.  There, in 1986, Len died after a long battle with cancer.  Having visited Arizona during one of their trips, Helen, smitten by the beauty of Sedona, courageously relocated there.  She thoughtfully designed a home on land with a spectacular view of the formations. As a master gardener, she tended the plants there and wherever she lived, with almost as much care and thought as she had given her family.  In her later years, her devoted son, Greg, cared lovingly for her in Prescott.  Helen is survived by her sons, Len, Barry, and Greg, her daughter-in-law, Terri, her grandchildren, Louise Siriani, Jacob, Brittany, Courtney, David, Elaine, Michael and Daniel Moser, and her great grandchildren, Tony and Alec Siriani.
