Helen Ilene May

Helen (Tyler) May, 93 of Chino Valley, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2014 in Prescott. She was born November 30, 1920 in Waterloo, Iowa to Forrest (Jack) Tyler and Kathleen (Steinbeck) Tyler. After graduating high school, Helen began a career in bookkeeping and worked until her marriage to Alfred May in 1946. She worked as a homemaker and spent her later years as a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Helen loved to write and as a hobby wrote many poems and short stories. She also excelled in cake decorating and candy making. Helen is survived by her son Michael May of Montana, daughter Kerry May Barney and son-in-law Terry Barney of Chino Valley. She has been blessed with seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Tyler, and beloved husband Alfred May.
