Harold “Hal” Kiesling of Prescott Valley, AZ died on Monday, October 18, 2021. He was 81 years old. Hal was born on August 5, 1940 in Chicago, IL to his parents, Harold and Anna Kiesling. He graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in 1959 with an aircraft maintenance certification. Hal served in the US Air Force from 1960-1964 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He spent his entire career with American Airlines at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport working his way from line mechanic to Supervisor of Maintenance and Engineering Training for the Midwest division. Hal retired in 2003 after 44 years of service. Hal married Jeanine “Jean” Kiesling (nee Nelson) on August 25, 1962. The Kieslings lived in Schaumburg, IL until 2003 when they retired to Prescott Valley, AZ. All who knew Hal will say he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his 1929 Model A Ford and would often frequent antique car shows. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Hal also enjoyed fishing, football, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family and friends. Hal is survived by his children, daughter Cynthia (Prescott Valley, AZ), daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Scott Wade (Wilmington, NC), son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Jennifer Kiesling (Litchfield Park, AZ), grandchildren, Nicholas Wade (Michael Anderson), Alexander Wade, Audrey Kiesling, Andrew Kiesling, Ethan Kiesling and sister Lois Pingle (Jackson, MO) as well as many extended family members, dear neighbors and good friends. Hal is preceded in death by his wife Jeanine “Jean” and his parents Harold and Anna Kiesling. A celebration of Hal’s life will be held at a future date.
