Harold Arrowsmith Hegeman Jr

Harold Arrowsmith Hegeman, Jr., 80, died in Prescott  June 28, 2005.    He was born October 8, 1924 in Plainfield, New Jersey, the son of Harold A. Hegeman, Sr. and Margaret Scott Class. Mr. Hegeman served in the US Army Air Force during World War II.  He married Regina Anne Barbour in 1949, and she passed away in 1990.  He then married Rhea O?Connell in 1990. Mr. Hegeman was employed by Koppers Co. as a manager with numerous assignments in the US and internationally.  He was a member of the Holland Society and the Sons of the American Revolution.   He enjoyed photographing steam trains and doing family genealogy was one of his favorite pastimes. Harold is survived by his wife, Rhea; sons Andrew and Stephen of Port Murray, New Jersey, and Peter of Stafford, Texas; a granddaughter, Natalie; and a brother Richard (Elaine) of Slidell, Louisiana.  He is also survived by his stepchildren. Larry (Lydia) Franchere and Carolyn Beery of Prescott, and Michael (Margaret) Franchere of Kentucky.             Cremation was private at Bradshaw Crematory.  A Gathering Reception will be on Monday, July 11, 11 a.m Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St, Prescott.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Larkin, #9, Flagstaff, AZ  86304.
