Glenda Sue Bourdon

Glenda Sue Bourdon passed away peacefully at home with her family on November 3rd, 2007, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Sue was born in Tulare, California on April 15, 1937 to Glen and Pearl Williams.  She is survived by Eric, her husband of 51 years; her sons Stuart (Dorine) Bourdon of Tustin, CA., Glen (Irene) Bourdon of Yorba Linda, CA., and Phillip (Tina) Bourdon of Prescott Valley, AZ.; her grandchildren Erica Bourdon, of Tustin, CA., Alexandria Bourdon of Prescott Valley, AZ., Jeffrey Bourdon of Yorba Linda, CA., Nicole Kent of Tustin, CA., and Taylor Kent of Las Vegas, NV.; her sister Beth Nason of Tulare, CA., her uncle Tom Yancy of Fort Worth, TX., and a myriad of cousins and friends. Sue graduated from Tulare Union High School and attended College of the Sequoias on a drama scholarship.  She worked for IBM and The Rand Corporation before graduating from Loyola Law School.  She was in private practice in Los Angeles before serving 10 years as a Deputy District Attorney. Sue and Eric moved to Prescott in 1992 and she was in private practice before serving as Town Prosecutor for Prescott Valley.  After retiring from practice she became an avid tennis player.  A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children, served as a member of The Foster Care Review Board, A Board Member for Yavapai Casa For Kids, and was a member of The Friends of Yavapai College Arts Board.  She enjoyed tennis, painting, her grandchildren, and her many friends. The family wishes to thank YRMC Hospice, her Mayo Oncologist Dr. Donald Norhfelt, and all of those that sent best wishes and prayer for her.
