Geraldine Margaret Kayser, 78, born June 10, 1932, to Edward and Loretta Gremling in Lima, Ohio, passed away November 17, 2010 at Encore Senior Village of Peoria, Arizona, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Gerry graduated from St. Gerard High School in Lima, Ohio in 1951. She married the love of her life, Tom Kayser, on September 12, 1953. Gerry devoted her entire life to her husband and raising their eleven children. She kept the household running smoothly on a daily basis and always made time to make every holiday and special occasion memorable for her family. She was very involved at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also a member of the Benedictine Oblates. Gerry also supported Tom through the Deaconate program and throughout his many years of service as a Deacon.
Gerry is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Tom Kayser. Children include Ron (Marla) Kayser, Beth (Dean) Hinshaw, Linda (Brock) Bergman from the Prescott area. From the Phoenix area are David Kayser, Jo (Mike) Stockton, Mike (Jeanne) Kayser, Joan (Bill) Arthur, Tom Kayser, Ruth (Terry) Bautch, Annita (Tony) Boynton, and currently living in Japan, Bob Kayser. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, a sister Betty (Dale) Vondrell, and a brother Tom (Rita) Gremling, of Ohio. Preceded in death by grandson Brock Bergman, three brothers and three sisters.
A Vigil will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monday, November 29, 2010 at 7 p.m. and a Mass in celebration of her life will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010 also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Foundation. When the Heavens decided it was Gerrys turn to ascend to the clouds, there is no doubt the Kingdom of Heaven awaits her.
Visitation:
Vistation will be Monday, November 29, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Av., Prescott, Az. A Rosary Vigil will follow at 7 p.m.
Service:
The Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church.
