George William Yonkman

George William Yonkman passed away April 12, 2008 at home in the presence of his loving wife, Isabelle Yonkman, and daughter Sheila Langrock.  He is now with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer. George was born October 12, 1929 in Los Angeles, California; the son of George and Christine Yonkman, who were from Holland.  He was proud to be Dutch. George graduated from UCLA and was always a Bruins fan. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  On December 20, 1979 he married the love of his life, Isabelle Rissi.  He retired as a geologist in the oil industry and moved to Prescott in 1996.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. George will be missed dearly by his family and friends.  The family would also like to send their special thanks to the YRMC Hospice.
