George C Tyler

George Tyler MD, died October 1, 2010 at the Crossing Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Arizona. He was born November 7, 1919 in Washington the son for William LV and Lillian (Clay) Tyler. George was 90 years old.

George practiced for most of his medical career in the Los Angeles area. He was a member of the AMA, CMA, LACM and ABCRS and medical societies. He loved the good weather of California. Families members fondly remember the Tylers enjoyment of traveling. He and Ruby would stop at a scenic stream; Ruby would set up her easel and paint while George would set up his camera and capture the scene with photos. George was adored by Rubys family who readily loved and adopted, Laura as one of their own after Rubys death. In Prescott, friends and family remember the many fun times spent at the Pine Cone Inn. George loved all music especially jazz. He attended many a jazz parties and recorded jazz. Jazz was such a big part of life and he did it consistently year after year; first with Ruby and lastly with Laura.

George is survived by Laura, niece Kim Martindale; the children and extended family of his beloved Ruby, who preceded him in death. George was also preceded in death by Lauras and his daughter Tamara. George is also survived by Valmere Lynn Kasala and Dr. Steven Kinigstein, their Jazzdad and longtime friends: Jane and Robert Nixon, Anne and Al White, Dr. Irene Royko and Richard Michelson, Lou and Willie Rubottom, Jean and Blais Wight, and Nadine (Nicky) Collins.

Georges wishes where to send a beautiful keepsake heart urn to be buried with Ruby in Washington and also to be inurned in Forest Lawn, waiting for Laura to join him there.
