Franklin Roosevelt Francisco, 91, of Prescott, Arizona passed away on November 6, after a long battle with cancer. Frank was born on November 7, 1932 to Russell and Marie Francisco in Rochester, N.Y. Though he never graduated High School, he joined the USAF and upon discharge he went on to learn the tool and die trade and had a very successful career at Eastman Kodak Company. Frank met his wife Patricia, in Rochester and went on to have 3 children - Kenneth, Sharon and Laura. He adopted two children, Brian and Angel, before Pat passed away from cancer. Frank and Pat were regular participants at Limerock Speedway in Caledonia, N.Y., where Frank raced a modified midget race car that he built with his son-in-law Jeff Bennett, who also raced. They had a very strong competitive streak, always teasing each other playfully about who won and who didn't. Racing was Frank's life for many years, though he did also enjoy motorcycle riding, cars, airplanes and model airplanes. He broke a world speed record in the 1950's and built all of his model airplanes himself. Frank had many friends from these hobbies and workplaces that he kept all his life, treasuring their friendship and telling many stories about their wonderful and crazy times. He loved his friends and his family and will be greatly missed.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Patricia Francisco; twin brother Herbert Hoover Francisco; son-in-law Jeffrey Bennett; and second wife Marcia Francisco. He is survived by his children: Kenneth Francisco, Sharon (Shari) Bennett, Laura Kanthak, Angel Malone and Brian Francisco; grandchildren: Alexandra Lewis and Christopher Kanthak; great-grandchildren: Charles (Chase) Lewis; Olivia Lewis and Ryder Kanthak.
No Services will be held. However, friends and family are welcome to post their respects, stories and pictures on his Facebook page.
