Frank J. McGuire, 82, of Prescott, died Sunday, August 20, 2006 in Prescott Valley. He was born July 24, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, lived most of his life in Southern California where he and his borther founded several restaurants. Frank still owned My Brother's Bar-B-Que in Woodland Hills at the time of his death. Cooking was Frank's greatest joy and he loved entertaining friends. On his 81st birthday he hosted over 100 guests in his home to benefit St. Vincent de Paul Society. After his retirement in 1998 to Prescott, Frank generously volunteered his time and money to many charities and dontated food to Church on the Street and St. Vincent de Paul. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Patrick Francis McGuire and brother James McGuire and sister Pat McGuire Dildine. He is survived by nephews, Mike and Frank McGuire of Gardnerville, Nevada and Kevin McGuire of Thousand Oaks,California, Don Dildine of San Clarita, California, and John McGuire of Chatsworth, California and nieces Patty Tudbury of Sacramento, California, Jan Delhi of Newberry Park, California, Coleen McKinnon of Washington state, and Margaret Russell of Alaska and extended family members as well as many friends in the Prescott area and around the country. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Frank's name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 120 North Summit Ave, Prescott, AZ 86301.
