Frances Thiel, was born to her parents, John and Caroline Wysopal, on September 17, 1919, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Frances was the second youngest of nine children; five sisters and three brothers. At a young age Frances moved with her family to Saginaw, Michigan where she grew to adulthood. She is the longest living member of her family. Frances married Marvin Roy Thiel on April 20, 1940 and is survived by her daughter Sandra and son Jeffrey; three grandchildren: Eric, Josh and Erica; and three great grandchildren: Louis, Teagan and Emma. Her husband Marvin passed away on December 3, 1964 at the age of forty-four. Frances lived in Southern California from 1951 until 2004, at which time she moved to Prescott, Arizona, living with her son, Jeff and his wife Melanie. Becoming a victim of Alzheimer disease, on January 13, 2009, Frances began living the last three years of her life at the Las Fuentes Nursing Home in Prescott. Frances, fondly called “Matka” (Polish for mother), was deeply loved by her children, grand & great grandchildren, nieces and all who knew her. She possessed a heart of gold. Frances was loving, caring and generous, and had a unique and refreshing sense of humor. Frances was 92 years of age when our Lord Jesus called her home. Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice and take comfort in knowing she is in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.
