Florence Marie Thomas

Florence Marie Thomas (DePolis), 98, died on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Marley House Hospice in Prescott, AZ. Florence was a former resident of Cedarburg, WI. and Fairfield, CA.
She was born on October 31, 1912 in Spooner, WI, to Louise (Donatell) and Carl DePolis. After graduating from Spooner High School in 1930, she moved to Milwaukee, WI. There she met Lawrence O. Thomas and they were married on June 25, 1934.
Florence had a keen eye for fashion and dress design, and worked as a window decorator for Alston's of Cedarburg for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, and keeping in touch with all members of her extended family. A Halloween Birthday lovingly made her the "family" witch; her fun sense of humor lightened many gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, May 30, 1990, and is survived by two children; Judith (Edward) Coffman of Prescott, AZ, Thomas P. Thomas (Julie) of Fairfield, CA, her sister Margaret DePolis of Eau Claire, WI, her brother Carl DePolis of Hastings, MN, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Florence's name to: Good Samaritan Society, Prescott Hospice, c/o Compassionate Care Fund, 1065 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301.

Service:
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society-Marley House Chapel located at 1063 Ruth St. in Prescott, AZ 86301.
