Eugene L. Headley passed away peacefully at his son?s home surrounded by his family and friends on November 17, 2008. He was 81 years old. Eugene was born May 24, 1927 in Ranger, West Virginia. He is the son of Jesse F. & Arena (Elkins) Headley. Eugene left the farm at age 16 and joined the United States Army. He served his Country proudly in WWII and the Korean War of which he was a P.O.W. Eugene has lived in Arizona since 1954 and previously in Kentucky. He worked as a truck driver in construction before retiring. He was a long time member of the Eagles Lodge in Prescott. Eugene loved spending time with his family. He would go fishing often with his son?s at Luna Lake in Arizona. This is also where they had many family get togethers and memories shared throughout the kid?s childhood. Eugene also enjoyed hunting locally in Yavapai County. He was most proud of his only granddaughter and the love he shared with his family. Eugene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Eugene is survived by daughter- Debby Headley of Prescott Valley, AZ; son?s- Jimmy (Tammy) Headley of Prescott, AZ; Daryl (Georginna) Headley of Prescott, AZ; Jesse (Debbie) Headley of Arkansas; brother's- Virgil Headley of Kentucky; Bruce Headley of Oaklahoma City, OK;sister's- Ade Sergeant of Kentucky; Marcella Pennington of Ashland, KYgrandchildren- Dennis, J.R., David, Zackary, Josh, Larry, Cory, Caleb, & Taleea; great grandchildren- Dustin, Dakota, Austin, Justin, & Christian.
