Eugene Griffin

Eugene 'Gene' Debs Griffin, 96, died in Prescott, AZ on October 4, 2014. He was born January 27, 1918 in Port Arthur, TX to Mark and Montana Griffin. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Edith (Genette) Griffin and his only brother name Hugh “Dootle” Griffin. Gene was a Sergeant in the Marines from 1940-1946. He served in such battles as Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, and Taroa and received a Bronze Star. He earned his Masters and Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for North American Rockwell as an Electrical Engineer. He was also a member of the Apollo Design Team. Gene lived in his home in Prescott for the past 20 years. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing poker with his friends on Thursdays. He lived a long healthy active life and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son Mark Hugh Griffin, daughter-in-law Kimberly Griffin, and grandson Max Eugene Griffin all of Healdsburg in Northern California.
