Ernest Piluso

Ernest Martin Piluso, affectionately known as Pinky and “Papa” to his grandkids, bid farewell to this world on December 15, 2023, at the age of 82 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on June 10, 1941, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, Pinky's journey was filled with laughter and cherished moments. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones, but his bright spirit will forever be remembered.

Pinky radiated happiness and had an outgoing nature. With his positive outlook, he could light up a room with his outgoing and personality and many were easily drawn to him. Setting goals and taking on new projects made him happy, and he loved keeping busy! Staying connected with family and friends was important to Pinky, and he treasured the friendships he made since his 5th-grade shenanigans. Talk about long-lasting bonds!

Our dear Pinky wanted his loved ones happy. He was a top-tier provider and a helping hand to anyone in need. No wonder he was everyone's go-to guy! Alongside his best friend and wife, Sandee, Pinky lived life to the fullest, savoring every adventure that came their way.

Now, let's talk about Pinky's career. At the tender age of 13, he dove headfirst at his dads side into the world of construction, building a solid foundation for his professional endeavors. But wait, there's more! Pinky and Sandee also uncorked their entrepreneurial spirit and created a boutique vineyard/winery. They truly bottled up their passion and poured it into every sip! And let's not forget his latest masterpiece with Sandee—two retirement homes/properties in Arizona.

Survived by his adoring wife, Sandee Piluso, Pinky leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. His children, Karen Piluso, Tracy Arntson (Croce), and Aaron Croce, along with his grandchildren, Rylee Haroldson (Croce), Madelaine Koller, and Ava Arntson, will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Pinky was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Piluso (Sutherman), his father, Ernest Piluso, his stepfather, Edward MacFarland, and his grandson, Jacob Arntson.

Our family is currently brainstorming the most epic celebration of his life. Stay tuned for details in 2024. In accordance with Pinky's wishes, he will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread at his favorite places and homes by his family. Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, AZ, are assisting Pinky's family with the arrangements.

Pinky is so loved by his family and we are heartbroken he had to leave so soon! May the memories of his playful spirit continue to brighten all of our lives. Rest in Peace Pinky “Papa”-we love you so much!
