Ernest “Ernie” O’Brien

Ernest “Ernie” O’Brien, died November 3, 2014 at the Marley House in Prescott. He was born June 25, 1930 in Owensboro, KY, the son of John A. and Mary I. (Hoagland) O’Brien. Ernie was 84 years old. Ernie married the love of his life, Alice June 21, 1952. Together they raised their five children in California. Ernie and Alice moved to Prescott after Ernie retired. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish. Ernie was a world traveler and the ocean brought him peace, whether on the beach or deep sea fishing. He also enjoyed watching baseball and football. The family fondly remembers what a loving husband and fantastic father he was. Ernie is survived by his wife Alice of Prescott; daughters Sharon Ann O’Brien of Prescott and Maryjane (Doug) Davis of Bloomsburg, PA; sons Randolph (Shiow-Lin) of Fullerton, CA, Daniel (Karin) of Stockholm, Sweden, and Thomas (Haven) of Montrose, CO; sister Jenny-Kay (Mark) Daniels of Santa Cruz, CA; and 12 grandchildren.
