Ellen G Artt

Ellen G. Artt peacefully passed away on July 12, 2008 at Granite Gate Senior Living Community in Prescott, Arizona.  She was 91 years old.  Ellen Georgianna was born on December 8, 1916 to Ernest Artt and Rose Barbara (Schorn).  Ellen retired with United Delco, a division of General Motors Corporation in Detroit, Michigan, with a career over 25 years as a secretary .  As an accomplished traveler, she relocated to Prescott, Arizona in 1978, where she had resided for the last 30 years.  She was a resident at Granite Gate Senior Living since 2001.  Ellen had many interest and was very resourceful and talented in her hobbies. Included in her quests were hiking and rafting the Colorado River, creating her own silversmith jewelry, and stained glass pieces to share with family and friends.  Ellen touched us all and she will greatly be missed.  She made many friends that will miss her charm and laughter.   Ellen is survived by her brother, Ernest Artt (Janet) of White Lake, MI, and her two sisters, Virginia Martin of Peoria, AZ, and Rosemary Kruse of Lake Forest, CA.  Ellen?s family members include thirteen nieces and nephews, Catherine Fish (W. James) of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Ernest Artt (Francis) of Troy, MI, Steven Artt (Michele) of Detroit, MI, Nancy Mitchell (Albert) of Attica, MI, Marilyn Wozniak (Michael) of Washington Twp., MI, Douglas Artt of White Lake, MI, Evelyn Brenner (Gordon) of Germany, Thomas Martin (Sandra) of White Lake, MI, Charlene Roti (Michael) of Anthem, AZ, Eilene Lohmeier (Kevin) of Shelby Twp., MI, David Kruse (Crystal) of Temecula, CA, Dana Bayliss (Cooper) of Trabuco Cyn, CA, and Douglas Kruse (Andrea) of Boise, ID.  Ellen leaves behind family including the 26 great nieces and nephews and 6 great-great nieces and nephews.   Final internment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetary in Detroit, MI. ***************************************************************************************************************************
