She was born in Memphis TN on January 18th, 1943, to Glenn Gordon Davidson and Margaret Wilma Davidson. Throughout her life she loved new challenges from being a kindergarten teacher in the inner city of Richmond Virginia in late 1960 and early 1970, to becoming an attorney of law. She was one of few females in her graduation class at University of Louisville in late 1970. While she was in Louisville, KY she also helped manage her parent’s cafeteria. She later moved to Ft Wayne, IN where she received her accounting degree, and then became a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, and enjoyed working with her clients and following the market. She was able to combine her prior experiences to become an Associate Professor at in Indiana-Purdue University on the Ft Wayne, IN campus focusing on business law. At the same time, helped to manage the family Christmas tree farm, Cedar Creek Farms, with her husband Robert (Larry) Laurence Whearley. After retiring they spent time at their vacation home in San Miguel Allende, in central Mexico. There they were active in the community, supporting the local orphanage and school food programs. Once they permanently moved to Prescott AZ, she volunteered at Miller Valley Elementary utilizing Karen Barton’s Bright Solutions, to assist the children in learning to read. She was also active with AAUM, a member of St Luke’s Episcopal Church, and the local Lymphedema Association. She was a bright and caring person, and a positive influence for all that knew her. She is survived by her husband Larry of 35 years, 6 children, 21 grandchildren and 40 plus great-grandchildren.
