Eleanor Julia Mccracken

On the morning of April 26, 2014 the light in our lives was dimmer, but the heavens were brighter. Eleanor McCracken; wife, mother, grandmother, as well as sister and aunt passed from this earthly life to her eternal life. Born in Los Angeles, California to Rosie and Frank Vasquez on January 4, 1936, she was one of four children. Her brother and sisters were Frank, Arlene, and Rosemarie. In December of 1956 she married her husband of 58 years, Murray McCracken. Together they created and raised three children; Jeff, David, and Jennifer. She was blessed with ten wonderful grandchildren; Lauren, Katie, Claire, Julia, Clayton, Paige, Elle', Olivia, Emily, and Shannon. Her blessing continued with three beautiful great-granddaughters; Mila, Emma, and Laila. In her life she was a loving wife and caring mother. She continued to share her love with her many nieces and nephews. Eleanor opened her arms and home to everyone who needed her. She enjoyed children, sewing, reading, baking, and in recent years Word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her son David McCracken, her parents Frank and Rose Vasquez, and her brother Frank R. Vasquez. She is survived by her husband Murray McCracken. Her son and daughter in law, Jeff and Karen McCracken, their children Lauren and Ryan Halliburton and Emma, Katie Rose and Billy Carrillo Mila and Laila Carillo, Claire, Paige, Elle', and Shannon. Her daughter and son in law, Jennifer McCracken and Robin Robinson, their children Julia, Clayton, Olivia, and Emily. Sisters Arlene Paulson and Rosemarie (Russ) Wing. All her nieces and nephews and their children, as well as family and friends.
