Edna Laureen Mefford

Edna “Eddie” Laureen Mefford, 81, passed away at home on July 29, 2020. Eddie was born June 13, 1939 in San Bernardino, California. Eddie attended Pacific High School, the University of the Pacific in Stockton and Cal State Northridge getting her MS in Early Childhood Development. Eddie continued graduate study at UCR and the University of Redlands. Eddie was a wonderful teacher who taught for over 35 years. Eddie was married to Richard Mefford for 43 years. They loved to travel and camp ground host. Eddie was a fantastic storyteller. Eddie volunteered feeding the homeless for over 18 years. Eddie not only fed their bodies but fed their souls. Eddie was an avid reader and loved playing cards with her PEO sisters and friends. Eddie will be greatly missed by her husband Richard; her children David, Doug, John and Wendy and spouses, Donna, Becky and Mario; her grandchildren Derek, Daren, Maggie, Katie, Abby, Sarah and Bryce, and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Prescott Unified Methodist Church for the Granite Creek Hunger Ministry. A Celebration of Eddie’s life will be held at the Mefford Farm on Saturday, September19, 2020. Arrive at 10am.
