Edgar S. Tally Jr.

Edgar S. Tally Jr. died February 22, 2011 at Bob Stump VA Medcial Center. He was born July 10, 1927 in Douglas, Gerogia. The youngest son of nine children; his parents were Edgar and Katie Lee (Simms) Tally, Sr. Edgar was 83 years old.
Edgar proudly served his country as a Navy medic during World War II. He retired as the Grand Canyon Council of Boy Scouts of Americas Finance Director, after working with the Scouts in both Georgia and Arizona. He attended the Word of Life Church, was a past member of the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs in both Phoenix and Mesa, and a member of the Prescott Victorian Society. He enjoyed camping, swimming, old movies and singing the old songs.
Edgar is survived by his daughter, Debbie (J.R.) Williams of Prescott, AZ; son Douglas (Joni) of Las Vegas, NV; sister Kate (Alan) Vestal of McRae, Georgia; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.

A Celebration of Edgars Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home 303 S. Cortez.
