Dorothy Matli-Sullivan

Dorothy passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Prescott, Arizona.  She is survived by her children, Joe Matli (Janet), Dorothy Stuart (Calvin) and grandsons Jerry Matli and Tom Stuart; her brother Orvan White of Prescott Valley, AZ and sister Norma Fancher of Kingman, AZ; granddaughters Linda Dowden, Rhonda Thacker and Cheryl Matli, as well as nine great grandchildren.Her husbands Joe Matli and Len Sullivan, as well as stepson George Sullivan and stepdaughter Dorothy Drew, preceded her in death. Dorothy celebrated her 102nd birthday on July 28, 2009 at the Paradise One Care Center with her family.  She was born in Springfield, Missouri, one of ten children to Marion and Nancy White.  Dorothy came to Arizona at the age of six where she resided until her death.  She will always be remembered as a loving, caring person, with a great sense of humor, to family and friends alike.  One characteristic that her family attributed to her long and healthy life was her contentment with her life.  Whatever the circumstances, she would always see the positive side.  Her love of family was always foremost in her heart.  She will be greatly missed.
