Donald Raymond Scheppers, 94, passed from this world to his eternal home on October 30, 2020. Donald was born in San Bernardino, CA on August 14, 1926. The son of the late Peter and Catherine Scheppers. When Donald was young, he was very sickly with an appendicitis but after a blood transfusion from an uncle Don was as healthy as one could be. He graduated Mt. Carmel High School in Los Angeles and then went to MaryKnoll Seminary back east to be a Missionary Priest. Don left after one year and enlisted in the Army in World War II. He then attended USC and obtained his degree and eventually retired from McDonnell Douglas as an Accountant. 

Donald was a long-time resident of Manhattan Beach, CA. He was married to his late wife Betty and they adopted two children, Tom and Denise. Don and Betty traveled to Europe, visited the Vatican City, the Holy Land, and desired tropical destinies. Donald is preceded in death by his older brother Bill and his adopted children Tom and Denise. It was later in life that he married his long-time family friend Dianne, who stayed with him to the end. Don is survived by his loving wife Dianne and his 2 grandchildren Patrick and Gregory Gill. 

Don had many interests in his life including the swim team in high school, Eucharistic Minister, Knights of Columbus, King Harbor Yacht Club, Golfing, volunteering as Golf Marshall, running marathons, 10 K’s, M.B. Property Owners, Ball Room Dancing, backpacking the High Sierras with his son Tom and traveling the U.S. in two different motor homes he owned.   He relocated to beautiful Prescott, AZ in his early 90’s.
