Dick Allan

Dick Allan  died Thursday, June 11, 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born September 21, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona; the son of George R. Allan and Eleanor (Cotton) Allan. Dick was 81 years old.   Dick was a life long resident of Arizona, spending the majority of his life in Prescott, AZ. He was a 1948 graduate of Prescott High School. Dick Worked for 35 years at what was started as Mountain Bell phone company. He was a member of the Prescott Elks Lodge 330, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Telephone Pioneers, The Westerners, The Yavapai Democratic Party, a Life Member of the Sharlot Hall Museun, and the Prescott Saddle Club.  Dick loved hunting, horse racing, and raising and riding horses.  He was most proud of his loving wife Marty, his daughter, and his family. Dick is survived by his loving wife Marty of 53 years; daughter; Candy (Ken) Shea, of Gilbert, AZ, neices; Sharon (Denis) Dalke of Prescott, Phyllis Rheem of Scottsdale, Jane (Elias) Bais, of Chino Valley, Gibert Osborne of Prescott, nephew; Goerge Robert (Deb) Allan of Chino Valley. One grandson Shawn Shea of Gilbert, AZ. Survivors also include many great-neices and nephews, and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother George R. Allan and sister Patricia Osborne.
