Delores C. Struble

Delores C. Struble of Prescott, AZ , most recently of Mesa, AZ, died March 23, 2012 from Alzheimers Disease. Delores was born on March 31,1930 to parents Walter and Thea (Jore) Rolf in McIntosh, MN. She grew up on a dairy farm there, along with her three brothers, Kenneth, Truman, and Wallace. She moved with her parents to Kalispell, MT in 1946 and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1948. Delores was united in marriage to L. Wayne Struble on November 25, 1948 in Kalispell, MT. Delores and Wayne raised four children, Sharon, Linda, Marcia and Larry. Together they also played a significant role in the upbringing of most of their ten grandchildren. Delores was blessed witih eleven great grandchildren, a few she never met. Delores loved and was deeply loved by her family. She will be remembered as being a faithful wife, devoted mom, and fun grandma. Her family is her legacy. Her hands were always busy creating something; first for her family and then for others. She instilled a strong work ethic and ‘can do’ attitude in her children and grandchildren. Delores and Wayne moved their family many times prior to their move to Phoenix, AZ in 1966 at which time Delores declared she wasn’t moving again. But they did when they moved to their retirement home in Hootenany Holler, rural Prescott in 1990. Wayne passed away in April of 1991. Delores remained in her home until her Alzheimers Disease necessitated her move to Mesa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne, her daughter Sharon, her brother Truman, and great grandchildren Billie and Bradley Brown. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Ken) Simonsen, Sidney, MT, daughter Marcia Struble, Mesa, AZ, and son Larry (Elizabeth) Struble of Prescott, AZ. Grandchildren Scott (Rebekah) Blakley, Chino Valley, AZ, Bob Pasley, Phoenix, AZ , Ben ( Melisa ) Pasley, Ft Bragg, NC, Joe Simonsen, Great Falls, MT, Matthew Simonsen, Fairview, MT, Tami Lombardi, Tempe, AZ, Bill (Mae) Brown, Prairie Grove, AR, Steve Brown, Sachise, TX, Laramie (Liz) Struble, Kent, WA, Chelsie (Doug) Barnard, Camp Verde, AZ. Great Grandchildren, Scott Jr.,Taylor,Connor, Noah, Travis, Addison, Dominic, Alexavier, Kyle, Rebecca, and Lyla. Her brothers Kenneth (Harriet) Rolf, McIntosh, MN, Wallace (Lillian) Rolf, Havre, MT , sister-in-law Agnes Rolf, McIntosh, MN., sister-in-law Yvonne ( Glen) Kartheiser, Columbia Falls, MT, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Delores Struble will be held at 10:30 A.M. June 9th, 2012 at the Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott,AZ. Memorials maybe given to the National Alzheimers Association or to the charity of ones choice.
