Dee Ann (Encinas) Miller, 65, of Prescott Valley, AZ, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, in the early hours of May 11th, 2023. Dee was born to the late Gilbert and Ida Encinas on April 29th, 1958 in Oxnard, CA. Dee was the youngest of their four children. She graduated from El Molino high school in Sebastopol, CA in 1976. After graduating high school, she began a successful career with the State of California at the Sonoma State Hospital as hospital staff and would soon become a bus driver for the hospital residents. It is here where she would meet and date her future husband, Terry Miller. The pair married on January 21st, 1989, at the St. John’s Church in Coloma Gold Discovery Park, after relocating to Garden Valley in 1987 and buying their very first home together. Dee and Terry would begin to further build their life together and would have two children: a daughter, Jessica Audre and son, David Jon. They would raise them together in their Garden Valley home for the next 33 years before relocating to Prescott Valley, Arizona. Dee was known for her infectious smile, kind-hearted nature, and undying love for her family. Her kindness and generous spirit always shone through, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her generosity extended beyond her family, and her impact was felt by many. In her free time, she loved to tend to her flower gardens, sew, and ride her horses, Cindy and Victor. She also enjoyed going shopping and wandering around thrift stores and yard sales with her family and friends. Dee loved animals, and was always bringing home a critter, big or small, that needed love and a safe home. Dee was a dedicated and loving wife and mother and cherished her role as a Grandmother to her grandchildren Hollie and Jameson Miller. She is survived by her husband, Terry, and their two children David and Jessica. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Jennifer, two brothers, nieces and nephews, and many loving friends and neighbors. Dee: Loving wife and mother, friend and so much more, you will be deeply missed. Your love will live on in the hearts of your family and friends. A private viewing was held for her husband and children, and there are no plans for any future memorial services at this time. Instead, anyone can, if they wish to or are financially able to, make a donation in her name to The Arizona Oncology and Hematology Associates or the Arizona Kidney Disease, LLC, which are both located in Prescott Valley, AZ.
