Debra "Debbie" Kim Hyde

Debra “Debbie” Hyde, 63 of Prescott, Arizona passed away Wednesday, June 10th, 2020 at her home. She was born on August 2, 1956, in Phoenix, AZ, the daughter of Robert & Tonnie Whaley. Debbie had a zest for life.  She deeply loved her family and would reach out daily just to touch base and say hello.  She was a Professional Barrel Racer until the age of 30.  When Debbie became a mom to her only son Christian, she went above and beyond to be involved in whatever he was involved in at the time.  Anything from volunteering at the Children’s Museum, to field trips & even substitute teaching.  She loved going to museums and enjoyed the finer things in life.  At one point, her and her husband had a wonderful opportunity to attend a function at the White House.  As they were not limited to specific areas, Debbie wanted her picture taken in every room, and smiled with her whole heart at every caption.  Debbie grew up in Phoenix and Idaho before moving to Santa Fe, NM in 1988.  She moved to Prescott in 2003 where she and her husband, Doug enjoyed raising their son together. Debbie would also support her husband’s successful career as an artist. They spent her remaining years growing a deeper appreciation for their marital love of one another.  She also had a fine appreciation for the art world, knowing many artists & attending many invitational shows.  She loved her flowers on their property and was very proud of her roses and tulips.  Above all, we want to express what a completely devoted mother she was.  Debbie deeply loved her son, Christian and made all efforts to be ever present in his life and activities.  She will be forever missed and loved by those who knew her.  A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
