David Jay Graser

David (Dave) J. Graser Loving father, husband, brother, and son, who bravely remained upbeat while trying to make his way past his cancer diagnosis and through years of treatment, has now returned to his maker.  Dave was preceded on this journey by his Father Jim Graser Sr. and Mother Betsy Graser.  He is survived by his wife and son, Leslie and Bowen Graser, and by a mighty Graser/Stevens Clan lead by his second Mother, Barrie Graser which includes Mari Worley (Bill), Janet Graser (Chuck), Jim Graser Jr. (Yvonne), Mags Lindsay (Andy), Ron Stevens (Carole), and Pam Richardson. Dave was also loved dearly and survived by many members of the Unangst Family including Doug Unangst, Erika Unangst, and Lee Unangst (Annie).

Dr. Dave Graser was a math professor at Yavapai College for 23 years and previously for 5 years at Eastern Arizona College (Safford, AZ) who enjoyed cheering on his students as they developed their math skills or conquered their math anxieties. He also encouraged them while they found their future professions. Dave was a lifelong outdoorsman who loved hiking and mountain biking, passions that he shared with friends, family and his students. Dave never met a stranger - or a trail he wouldn't follow as a solitary communing with nature or in the happy company of his fellow travelers. His greatest love though was his family and the all the wonderful times in the kitchen cooking together. Summer breaks from school were so special to Dave and his young son. Dave, you are forever in our hearts and now back on your bicycle or backpacking to explore the woods.
