Clyde Andrew Thompson

Clyde Andrew Thompson, 89, of Prescott Valley, Arizona went home to be with our Lord Jesus on April 23, 2018.
He was born on June 20, 1928 to Roy and Amanda Thompson in Saybrook, Ohio. He married Dora Gene (Hart) Thompson on May 21, 1950. They resided in Dorset, Ohio for many years while raising their daughters Beth, Ann, and Elaine.
His love for God and family was evident throughout his entire life. He was a dedicated member of Dorset Baptist Church, Dorset, Ohio and Bethel Baptist Church, Prescott Valley, Arizona. He was employed at Rockwell Brake Plant, Saybrook, Ohio for 30 years. Upon retirement at age 52, he and his wife moved to Arizona
where he lived and mined for gold on his gold claims south of Tucson. They later settled in Prescott Valley to be near family. He was a treasure hunter, prospector, adventurer and outdoorsman who also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, three daughters, a son-in-law, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers. Memorials and donations may be made to Dorset Baptist Church, P.O. Box 81, Dorset, Ohio 44032 for the repairs and rebuilding of
the church's steeple.
